Privacy Policy
Last Updated: December 6, 2025
Mementi (“we,” “our,” or “us”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information when you use our mobile application (the “App”).
- Photos: We access your photo library only when you select images to create diaries or posts. We do not upload your entire library to our servers.
- Text Input: We process the text you provide to generate content.
- AI Generation Data: Data you submit for AI generation (such as selected photos and prompts) is processed to provide the service.
- Credits and Purchases: We process purchase-related identifiers and your remaining credits to provide in‑app credit functionality.
- Usage Data: We may collect anonymous usage statistics (e.g., features used, session duration) to improve the App.
- Device Information: We may collect information about your device type, operating system, and unique device identifiers.
- Keychain Sync Metadata: When iCloud Keychain is enabled, certain app items (e.g., remaining credits and processed transaction IDs) may be synchronized across your devices using Apple’s iCloud Keychain.
- iCloud Container Storage: Photos you import may be stored in your personal iCloud container so they are available across your devices.
We use your information to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the App.
- Generate AI content based on your inputs.
- Process in-app purchases.
- Respond to your comments and questions.
- Synchronize certain app state across your devices when you enable iCloud features.
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information:
- With Service Providers: We use third-party AI providers (e.g., Google Gemini, OpenAI) to process your generation requests.
- We send strictly necessary data (photos, text, prompts) to these providers via their secure APIs.
- We do not sell your data to these providers.
- We direct these providers to use your data solely for the purpose of generating your requested content and not to use it for training their general public models, to the extent their API terms allow.
- For Legal Reasons: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights.
3.1 Apple iCloud Services
- We use Apple iCloud services (iCloud Drive/CloudKit and iCloud Keychain) to provide cross‑device storage and synchronization when enabled on your devices.
- Data stored or synced through iCloud is processed by Apple as a service provider, subject to Apple’s terms and privacy practices.
4. Data Security
We take reasonable measures to help protect your information from loss, theft, misuse, and unauthorized access. However, no data transmission over the internet or wireless network can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.
4.1 Keychain and iCloud Security
- Keychain items synchronized via iCloud Keychain use platform encryption and are accessible only on devices signed into your Apple ID, when iCloud Keychain is enabled.
- Items intended for synchronization are marked with the synchronizable attribute.
- Photos stored in your iCloud container are managed by the operating system and subject to Apple’s security model.
5. Data Storage and Retention
- Local Storage: Your diary entries, photos, and generated content are primarily stored locally on your device. We do not store your personal diaries on our central servers.
- iCloud Storage: When available, photos you import may be stored in the App’s iCloud container under your account to enable cross‑device access.
- Keychain Sync: Remaining credits and processed transaction identifiers may sync across your devices via iCloud Keychain.
- Transaction Retention: Processed transaction identifiers are retained for up to six months to prevent duplicate crediting, after which they are deleted.
6. Children’s Privacy
The App is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
7. Your Choices
- Access and Delete: You can delete all your data by deleting the App from your device.
- Photos Access: You can revoke the App’s access to your photo library at any time in your device settings.
- iCloud Controls: You can enable or disable iCloud Keychain and iCloud Drive/Photos for your device in system settings. Sync functionality depends on these settings and your Apple ID.
- Manual Refresh: You may use in‑App controls to refresh local state; synchronization timing is managed by the operating system.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
10. International Data Transfers
Apple may process iCloud data in multiple jurisdictions. By using iCloud features, your data may be transferred outside of your country consistent with Apple’s policies and applicable law.
